Le 20 mai 2021, Maharaj a \u00e9t\u00e9 cong\u00e9di\u00e9 de son emploi dans la production et d'autres productions de Disney pour des all\u00e9gations comprenant l'utilisation du langage offensant et sexiste, le harc\u00e8lement sexuel, la misogynie, l'insubordination et les violations r\u00e9p\u00e9t\u00e9es des protocoles de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 COVID-19. Apr\u00e8s avoir \u00e9t\u00e9 cong\u00e9di\u00e9, il a dit au syndicat qu'il voulait que les parties de la lettre concernant l'agression sexuelle soient retir\u00e9es. Le Syndicat a fait ces demandes mais Disney a refus\u00e9. Maharaj a admis au Syndicat plus d'une fois que plusieurs des all\u00e9gations \u00e9taient vraies. \u00c0 la lumi\u00e8re de ces aveux et de la gravit\u00e9 de la conduite, le syndicat a refus\u00e9 de d\u00e9poser un grief concernant le cong\u00e9diement. Maharaj a \u00e9crit une lettre au Syndicat le 4 septembre 2021, \u00e0 laquelle l'Union n'a pas r\u00e9pondu.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>Le Conseil s'est rang\u00e9 \u00e0 l'avis du syndicat. Il a estim\u00e9 que M. Maharaj n'\u00e9tait pas un t\u00e9moin fiable et que le syndicat avait assur\u00e9 un suivi ad\u00e9quat aupr\u00e8s de lui et de l'employeur apr\u00e8s le licenciement. La Commission a estim\u00e9 que le syndicat n'avait pas enfreint la loi.  Au contraire, elle a estim\u00e9 que la conduite du syndicat pendant toute la p\u00e9riode concern\u00e9e \u00e9tait objectivement justifi\u00e9e.
