Le Canada a besoin d\u2019une structure de droit d\u2019auteur efficace et moderne qui met pleinement en oeuvre les trait\u00e9s Internet de 1997 de l\u2019Organisation mondiale de la Propri\u00e9t\u00e9 intellectuelle (OMPI) et qui correspond aux pratiques internationales exemplaires. Un nouveau projet de loi doit \u00e9tablir des r\u00e8gles claires qui rendent le piratage ill\u00e9gal, qui d\u00e9couragent la distribution illicite de contenu cr\u00e9ateur par voie \u00e9lectronique, et qui soutiennent un march\u00e9 en direct innovateur et l\u00e9gitime pour les produits num\u00e9riques. Nous sommes reconnaissants de l\u2019engagement du Ministre Paradis \u00e0 apporter les modifications techniques requises pour atteindre leurs objectifs, lesquelles prot\u00e8geront les titulaires de droits tout en \u00e9tant un soutien pour les milliers de femmes et d\u2019hommes travaillant dans le milieu de la production cin\u00e9matographique et t\u00e9l\u00e9visuelle partout au Canada.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab La production t\u00e9l\u00e9visuelle et cin\u00e9matographique \u00e0 elle seule a g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9quivalent de plus de 117 000 emplois \u00e0 temps plein dans l\u2019ensemble du Canada l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re. Un seul film peut procurer des emplois pour entre 100 \u00e0 1000 personnes \u00bb ajoutait Matthew D.
