Lors d\u2019une assembl\u00e9e g\u00e9n\u00e9rale tenue le 18 juillet dernier, les membres de la section locale 891 ont approuv\u00e9 une contribution \u00e0 l'Actors' Fund de 4 $ par membre, par trimestre.  Comme la section locale compte plus de 5000 membres, la contribution est d\u2019importance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Je loue l\u2019initiative des membres de la section locale 891 de mettre en place un syst\u00e8me de soutien \u00e0 long terme de l\u2019Actors\u2019 Fund, une organisation qui a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 maintes reprises des membres de l\u2019AIEST en des temps difficiles, \u00bb a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Matthew D. Loeb, pr\u00e9sident international de l\u2019AIEST.<br \/>\nL\u2019Actors\u2019 Fund est une organisation qui fournit une aide financi\u00e8re d\u2019urgence \u00e0 tout travailleur du secteur culturel qui se remet d\u2019une maladie, d\u2019une blessure ou de tout \u00e9v\u00e9nement qui lui a caus\u00e9 des difficult\u00e9s personnelles et \u00e9conomiques importantes.<\/p>\n<p>Le pr\u00e9sident de la section locale 891, Ken Anderson, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 : \u00ab L\u2019Actors\u2019 Fund a souvent servi de filet de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 aux travailleurs de l\u2019industrie du spectacle depuis de nombreuses ann\u00e9es; je suis donc tr\u00e8s heureux que nos membres aient approuv\u00e9 ce moyen de le soutenir. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Pour sa part, David Hope, directeur administratif de l\u2019Actors\u2019 Fund of Canada a ajout\u00e9 : \u00ab La section locale 891 est l\u2019exemple par excellence de la mani\u00e8re dont le fonds fonctionne avec ses partenaires du secteur du spectacle. La section locale 891 est depuis longtemps une ferme partisane du fonds et ses contributions nous ont permis d\u2019aider des centaines de membres syndiqu\u00e9s \u00e0 se relever de l\u2019adversit\u00e9, en leur fournissant une aide financi\u00e8re d\u2019urgence. Nous sommes particuli\u00e8rement reconnaissants de ce dernier t\u00e9moignage de soutien qui illustre la confiance que les membres ont en notre capacit\u00e9 de servir notre confr\u00e9rie.
