Mindshare Days Productions v. BC Film Council and ACFC and AMPTP and CFTPA and Local 669 and Local 891 [2006] B.C.L.R.B.D. No. 82 (BC Labour Relations Board)

The Film Council applied for a declaration that the production “The Days” produced by Mindshare was within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Film Council as set out in British Columbia and Yukon Council of Film Union, BCLRB No. B448/95. The Board rejected the Film Council’s submission that “the Days” fell within the exclusive jurisdiction of the Film Council on the basis that the Mindshare production reflected a new development and was outside the scope of the nature of productions contemplated by the grant of exclusive jurisdiction in B448/95.
