Regina, Saskatchewan – Local 295 Regina, with the assistance of the International, filed an application for certification on January 18, 2008 for all moving picture technicians working at Partners in Motion Inc.
Due to changes in Government in Saskatchewan and changes to the Trade Union Act, the Local was unable to proceed to any form of hearing and on December 17, 2008, both parties agreed to have the Board proceed with Certification based upon initial filings. On January 14, 2009, the Board ordered a vote among all employees who were employed on date of filing, January 18, 2008.
On February 20, 2009, a vote was conducted and all employees voted for the Union.
