Local 63, with the assistance of the International, filed an application for certification on October 13, 2009 for all stagehands employed by Keystone Entertainment Group Ltd in the province.
After a series of hearings held in 2009, the Manitoba Labour Board issued its decision on November 23, 2009, recognising Local 63 as a certified bargaining agent of all stagehands employed by Keystone Entertainment Group Ltd in the Province of Manitoba. The International will be assisting the Local in negotiating a first collective agreement. Keystone Entertainment Group Ltd is a Calgary based producer, promoter, and presenter of live entertainment events, operating across Canada and having built a solid operational base in Western Canada.
