IATSE Local 828 filed an application for certification with the Ontario Labour Relations Board in March 2023 seeking to represent a bargaining unit consisting of scenic artists and props makers employed by Tarragon Theatre located in Toronto, Ontario. An electronic representation vote was conducted by the OLRB and the employees unanimously voted in favour of being represented by Local 828.
