Local 58 v. Harbourfront Corporation, [1982] OLRB Rep. November 1624 (Ontario Labour Relations Board)

Application for certification.  Local 58 applied for certification with respect to a craft bargaining unit of audio-visual technicians.  The Board applied the test for craft trade union status and found that the local was a craft trade union within the meaning of the Act.  The Board further found that the bargaining unit applied for was appropriate and, since not less than forty-five percent of the employees in the bargaining unit were members at the date of application, ordered the taking of a representation vote.
