Local 822 v. Ed Mirvish Enterprises [2002] O.L.R.D. No. 2760 (Ontario Labour Relations Board)

Application for certification (second of two decisions).  Dispute over bargaining unit description; i.e., whether it should be site specific or city wide.  The employer argued that the local was trying to parlay a seven week production in a theatre location not owned by the responding party, and involving only two employees, into a city wide bargaining unit.  The Board granted the local’s application following its normal practice of granting municipal wide bargaining units.
