Local 822 v. Ross Petty Productions Inc. [2004] O.L.R.D. No. 5121 (Ontario Labour Relations Board)

Application for certification (first of two decisions).  The local had previously been found to be a trade union within the meaning of the Act.  The parties were in agreement regarding the bargaining unit description. Not less than forty percent of the individuals in the proposed unit were members of the local at the time of certification.  The Board directed that a representation vote be taken of “all makeup, hair and wardrobe employees of Ross Petty Productions Inc. in the City of Toronto save and except Technical Director and/or Production manager and persons above that rank.”
