Winnipeg Arena Signs First Agreement with IATSE Local 63

Winnipeg, Manitoba – With assistance from the International, on May 4, 2004, I.A.T.S.E. Local 63 signed an agreement with Winnipeg Enterprises Corporation, covering all stage and entertainment work for the Winnipeg Arena. The arena is home to the American Hockey League’s Manitoba Moose, which is affiliated with the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks. It was constructed in 1955 and originally seated 10,100. Through a number of renovations and expansions, the Winnipeg Arena now seats 15,500 and hosts all major sports and entertainment events in Winnipeg.

The agreement includes pay rates consistent with other local venues under agreement and provides for pension benefits.
