Teamsters local 395 v. Inconvenience Productions Inc., local 295 et al. [2001] Sask. L.R.B.R. 260 (Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board)

The Teamsters applied to be designated as the certified bargaining agent for a group of transportation and animal wrangler employees in the production of a motion picture titled Inconvenienced.  Local 295 was voluntarily recognized by the production and alleged that the Teamsters’ proposed unit was not appropriate for bargaining.  The Board found (1) that the Teamsters application for certification was not barred by local 295’s voluntary recognition; (2) that the unit proposed by the Teamsters was appropriate for collective bargaining.
